Mangia e Bevi?

Mangia e Bevi?

Someone else said they went here for their bachelorette party...
What is it? What makes it different then a regular restaurant?
Is it a good place to bring my girls who age from 15-29?

Thanks!

The waitors feel they have a right to touch you inappropriately and are really scheevy when you have a bach party there. I wouldn't suggest bringing anyone under the age of 18 to this place... my friend went to a bach-party there with two sixteen year old girls who were BMs... the waitors were doing body shots off of these teenagers!! Disgusting....

I went there last winter for a sorority dinner, we had a blast. I would not suggest bringing anyone under age there. The waiters are a little touchy but there is other fun....like they gave out tamberines(sp) and had everyone on their chairs singing and what not.

The food was good too!

Damn I thought it would be a good way to include everyone!
I really want to come up with something.

Thanks Ladies!

Although some of the waiters are like that...if you don't encourage it or if you let them know...you're not into that... they won't be like that. I've been there a dozen times and we had clean fun. Standing on our chairs with tambourines and singing songs...you can pass on the free shot for the bride too... they can get 'dirty' with it. lol...

Funny stuff though. And the food, drink are reasonably and good. Great for groups.

Do you think I can say something before hand so that they know not to come hear the 15 and 17 year olds in my party?

I absolutely know you can. We did. Speak with the Maitre D or Owner...who are usually there..even mention it on the phone - you're with a bach party but you'll have some under 18 yr olds with you, etc.

Which seating are you doing? I know there are 2 main seatings for large groups. try getting to the earlier seating and arrive on time. They don't hold tables long... people are always trying to get in. I would tell everyone to arrive together 20 min. before they seat you. The place isn't very big...

Its a lot of fun though.

I went there for both a bachelorette party and a birthday party. It can be as 'clean' or 'dirty' as you'd like it to be. I, personally, had alot of (clean) fun! The tambourines and dancing on the chairs when the music gets loud is great! I'd actually recommend it!

Is this like a guys only kind of place? Reason I ask is because I live in Fl and I have a co-worker who is going to the city with a bunch of friends for her husbands 40th bday and they want to go somewhere fun.
Any other places?

ITA - calling about having youngsters there and going to the first seating, great idea

been there on my cousin's bach party. was a looooot of fun. had a blast! but as everyone else said it can get very dirty (the waiter made my cousin do a shot out of his crutch lol). so try to get there earlier and mention that u dont want that kind of 'treatment' b/c u are with minors

it is a lot of fun, there is music and dancing on chairs and the waiters even without the dirty stuff make it a huge one big party

i agree with the other posters. i was there for a bachelorette party 2 years ago. i had a nice time but i made sure to sit in a spot where no one would be bothering me. i am not into all that dirty fun.

I've been there tons of times for bparties. It is not usually a place that attracts men, most tables are large groups of girls. The waiters only get as wild as the girls at the table get so if you're a calm bunch, they don't go to wild on you.

It's a lot of fun and I think one of the better places as far as food, price and fun goes for a b-party.

I've also been to Puglia's in little italy which was fun but more family oriented with a singer that gets the crowd going.

We had considered this place for my sister's party but I heard that they can make you wait a long time for a table even with a reservation. So, we decided not to go because I read so many reviews about groups of girls that were made to wait outside for an hour until their table was ready.

Unless you're the guest of honor , or approach them, the waiters don't really bother you... One of my friends kept getting up and dancing w/ them.. but some of the other girls just sat , and they didn't bother them...

I think its all good fun... & GOOD FOOD!!!!!! :)
