Re: Manhattan Restaurant Week!!!!
I want to go too!! I've never been to a rest in NYC, besides places like Sardi's, Broadway Joe's, ESPN Zone - etc... the touristy ones.
Any recommendations?

Re: Manhattan Restaurant Week!!!!
My best friend and I (MOH) made reservations to try Lucy Latin Kitchen which I have heard great things about. On the list I also love Asia de Cuba, China Grill, Blue Smoke, Nobu, Rosa Mexicano Mr. K's and a couple of others but those are my favorites ;)

Re: Manhattan Restaurant Week!!!!
ooh butter is on there they must have added it! You should all make reservations at butter, it is the first restaurant that fills up during restaurant week because it's normally so expensive! You might even see some famous people, we saw some rap group when we were there but we have no idea who they were because we don't listen to rap.

Re: Manhattan Restaurant Week!!!!
Here are my recs for the week!!!:
Atlantic Grill - celebs love this place
Blue Water Grill (try the jazz room - so fun)
Blue Smoke (AWESOMEEEEE comfort/BBQ food!! Their mac and cheese is OUT OF THIS WORLD)
Compass - GREAT food, and a swanky decor. (This was my local restaurant/bar! AWESOME steak)
Gramercy Tavern (I think its overrated, but its good)
Mesa Grill (our friend used to manage it - GREAT food. some famous chef owns it, I think? )
Monkey Bar (older crowd, but cool feel. An episode of SATC was filmed here....)
Park Avenue Cafe - if your FH is big on sports, he'll like it here. Lots of tvs. Food is 'eh'
Rosa Mexicano - some of the BEST Mexican I've ever had. They make the guacamole at your table. Its is SO good!!! and the margaritas are to dieeeeeee for!!
Spice Market - if you wanna be in the meatpacking district, and you like thai food, it would be a fun night out with FH! The food is great, the martinis are good, and the location is fun for a night out on the town. After dinner go to the gansevoort hotel bar ( down the street, on the top floor) for a romantic drink and an awesome view! don't go into the indoor pool up there
Tribeca Grill - Robert De Niro invests in this restaurant. Supposed to be good. Cool area. Haven't eaten there.
Vento - LOVED this place. Cool area (meatpacking district) and good italian food. Great wine list. Again, go to hotel gansevoort after!

It's just a 'trendy' area. Ya know? Cobblestone streets and cool industrial feel...but now there are swanky stores, bars, and clubs. I know you're not a Sex and the city fan, but Samantha moved there. Good for people watching.
