So I'm trying to decide what type of manicure to get for my wedding. Can you ladies tell me ...

1. What is a gel manicure?

2. Would red be WAY too bold??? I wore it to my fitting and I thought it looked really nice and it would be different! Just to set the record state though, I'm pretty regular- don't usually wear things that are bold or that make statements.
