Re: many envelop q's

You should not do any abbreviations on the invites.

Mr. and Mr. John Smith

For those that I didn't know their guest's last name, I put:

Mr. John Smith and Guest

Re: many envelop q's

1. the outer envelopes would be

Mr and Mrs John Smith

the inner envelopes would be

Mr and Mrs Smith

2. i think you should either find out their last name or write 'and guest'

3. i read that it's not proper ettiquette to write and family, you should write the childrens names underneath on the inner envelope

Mr and Mrs Smith
Jack, Jill

Re: many envelop q's

THis is how I did it.

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

Mr. John Smith and Guest (If I did not know the guests name I did not put it. If I only knew the first name I put 'and Guest') On the placecard I put the first name only, or by then found out the last.

For the family: If the children are under 18

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Family

or

The Smith Family (for outer envelope)

ETA: Inner you name names

Over 18 - each own invite
