March brides (08er needs help) when was your shower?
When did you girls have your shower? I really think I am having mine in October but is that too early?
I realize most people do it two to three months before the wedding but that is a holidays season. Just curious when yours was.

My FSIL's wedding was in March (the 23rd) and her shower was in the beginning of february.
Some people like to plan them a little bit earlier (away from the wedding date) so that the bride has plenty of time after the shower to do all the last minute wedding planning stuff. And so she isn't too stressed for her shower.

i went to a wedding in March this year, and the bride's shower was in mid-November. Like you say, it could be a good idea to have it before the holiday craziness. HTH!
Mine was 3 months before the wedding, which i felt was perfect because now that craziness is over and i can focus on the wedding...

I am really crossing my fingers it is in early November or late October. FH and I should be moved out by that time living together and we will need whatever stuff possible. Thanks for the responses.

I had two.. one Veteran's Day weekend in november and one MLK weekend in January.
Def do it before the holidays if you can!

Mine was a week or two before the wedding. Too many scheduling conflicts between the guests and me otherwise.
For you, I agree with the pps to avoid the holidays. October is fine, as would be till mid-November IMHO. If it can't be worked in then, wait till January.

I got married last March and my shower was January 14th. You friends and family will probably plan it for before or after the holidays.
