March theme

How about a Spring equinox theme? Isn't your date right around then? You could pick light greens or pastel colors, give out flower seeds or tree seedlings for favors, maybe use potted plants as your CPs or fresh tulips. You could feature a flower or simple green leaf motif on your invites.

Plus a spring theme represent s 'new beginnings' which is what marriage represents!

I love the Spring Equinox idea. There are tons of things you could do for a sping theme wedding because spring is representative of new begininngs, such as the start of a new life together with your hubby. Soft colors like pink and gree would be nice. For invites, definetly use vellum paper over the cardstock because it will add that slightly misty, etheral feel.

And Tulips! LOOOOOOOOOVE THEM! My favorite flower next to the gerber daisy. I had considered a Spring Wedding and was going to use tulips everywhere but we had to pass because I am in school and next year I would be teaching so to take off for honeymoon would be an issue. I have alot of Spring idea though from when I was planning. Pictures saved somewhere. FM me if you need any help.

Oh also, someone else mentioned seed ideas. There are lots of websites where you can get them already wrapped in tins or you can go to DOLLAR store (we have dollar tree and seeds are there now) and pick some up for favors. Wrap hem in little organza bags (dollar tree again) and boom, favors.

What you can also do for CP if you want to save some buks and are going for a spring/new beginngs theme; go to home depot or a greenhouse and buy potted plants of whatever is in season in your colors (great thing about sping is you can do multicolros like wildflowers and doesn't clash) and then repot them in nice containers. I had considered watering cans-the galvanized kind they have in MICHEALS. They also have buckets of the same material. We were going to make holes in the bottom so they could be prepared and watered before the big day and then on the big day we would seal the bottom temprarily with saran wrap and thick tape like duct tape that could later be peeled off. Keeps in theme with springtime.

SPRING WEDDING

This was a link I had-no pictures but gives a complete overview of ideas for a spring wedding. I love the idea of birdhouses which they suggest for favors but if you buy them inexpensively, you could paint them and deocrate them (they dont really have to match I don't think because they tie in) and maybe arrange ivy around them. Inexpensive but still really pretty.






This is sorta what I meant about the buckets and watering cans-see not too difficult and I am sure you could work something out with your florist to provide the buckets for them-I have a friend who works for a florist and she was appalled at how much they charge when she saw what vases and the like went for at MICHAELS. Florists charge 3x as much for the same items. Sometimes can cut some cost if you provide the containers and you pay only for the flowers ans their time.
