Marina del Rey vs. V.I.P. Country Club

I'm torn between these 2 halls. Most of my guests are from the bronx and queens so I wanted a hall by the Whitestone bridge. Does anyone have an opinion about these places? Thanks

Thanks for replying. I was just at a wedding with DJ Serg and he did a great job. Are you getting the plasma's?

I'm getting married at MDR too. It's amazing. And if you go with some of their house vendors....they give you amazing deals! Their Dj is great and so is their photographer.

We almost got married at VIP and thought that it was really beautiful but the views weren't that good. I think (could be wrong) Marina del Rey has more Italian food and VIP doesn't. I thought VIP gave you alot for your $$ and it was a close second choice for us.

I went to a wedding yesterday at Marina del rey and it was great...the place is gorgeous, food is delicious and great service...sorry never been to VIP so cant really compare.

my coworker got married at VIP and she absolutely LOVED it. she said everything went perfect and i saw her pix - gorgeous!

My ex's Uncle owns VIP country club and I went there for his grandson's 1st birthday and it was unbelievable ... It was probably because it was a party for the owners grandson but everything was perfect... on the other hand I have been to Marina del ray 3 times and I love that place too the food was great and I had a great time all 3 times ...HTH

Ive been to weddings at both and I loved VIP, I thought it was such an elegant place and the food was really good too

I just had a friend whose wedding was at MDR, said it was amazing! My prom was at VIP- good views, but I ve heard MDR is unbelievable!

I'm getting married at the VIP and I absolutely love them! We were torn b/w Marina Del Rey as well until we met with them...we found the wedding planner there to be rude and totally unprofessional. That made our decision an easy one.
One of my co-workers is getting married at the Marina del rey in Novemer and they've given her quite a few problems already and even messed up the wedding time - apparently they didn't realize that had already booked their room for earlier in the day so she had to make her wedding 2 hours later, so it STARTS at 9:00 instead of 7:00....and they didn't even try to give her any perks for their mistake
