Marquis cut diamonds

Just curious, anyone have one? My ering is a marquis and since I got engaged, everyone has been telling me how 'rare' that is...

Good news though, I found a wedding band that matches my ering perfectly

well they are considered rare because they actually need to be cut from a larger stone and more of the diamond is 'wasted' I guess.. so they are more expensivr.

Yup, they're an expensive cut, and it's really hard to find a high quality, well cut one for some reason. Our jeweler could ahve been BSing us but he said my stone was one of the most beautiful he's sold in 20 years
