How long did it take for those of you who are married to get your certificate in the mail? I was married June 1st and have not gotten mine. I needed to establish residency in my new state so i had to go and register for everything in my maiden name and will have to change it when the certificate comes in . Just wondering when that might be....
Thanks!!

I got married on Aug 1st and it was already at our house when we came home from our honeymoon on Aug 10th. I would definitely call.

No, your marriage License expires in 60 days. Your certificiate does NOT expire as long as you are married.
You should have received it within 2-4 weeks. Call the town hall that it would have been sent to...and if they havent received it call your church/person who did your ceremony...if they say they mailed it you have a long process ahead of you.
If neither of them 'know what happened to it' You must go down to town hall, AGAIN, you can go alone. get a copy of your marriage license, bring it to the church/person who oversaw your ceremony and have them fill it out and sign it, make sure they fill in the propert date that you were married. THEN bring it back to Town Hall and ask them to make up the certificate for you right then and there b/c you can not wait any longer. This is what I had to do since the church said it was mailed and Town hall never received it.

Thanks so much for the info!! I feel better already knowing exactly what I have to do if there's a problem... I would have panicked if I found out it had been mailed and not received and I wasn't armed with this info Hopefully that's not the case but at least I know it's fixable! Thanks again

No problem, just stand your ground when you bring it back to get your certificate, they will tell you that you have to wait bc they dont have the time, they will get nasty and stupid, just say sorry I need it now, lie if you have to and say you are moving. I just got nasty back and told them i wasnt going to wait anymore and gave her attitude back to her and they did it no problem.
