Hi Ladies! I am going to go in the next few weeks to get my marriage license on Queens Blvd in Kew Gardens. Has anyone been there? Are there certain hours that they will issue a marriage license? How long did it take? Sorry for so many questions, but i have to take off a few hours from work to do this and was wondering if i should block out an entire day. What should I bring with me? Thanks for all of your help! Amanda

If you go to the website that describes the process of getting a marriage license, it also gives the hours during which you can get it. I haven't gotten it yet, but I don't think it would take very long...it's just a matter of showing identification and filling out forms according to what I've heard.

I got mine in Queens at that Clerk's office.
They open at 8 am or maybe it was 8:30, check the website. If you go first thing in the morning, it is pretty quick. The entire thing took us less than an hour.
Of course it depends on how long the line is. I would aim to get there at least 15-30 mins BEFORE it opens. then you will be one of the first in line and once they open you will be done in mins.
Make sure you bring a $35 moneyorder, they do not accept cash.
