They are going to take one look at you and your FH, say you are first cousins bc you look alike, and stamp a big DENIED across your forehead!!!!

Hey Michelle! For the first time this weekend..I'm not puking!

And I have no idea the answer to your question. I want to say they give it to you right there but then I just read a post from someone who said that it had been two weeks and they didn't receive it yet. If you are getting married in October then I would apply mid August.

when u go to town hall, u fill out some papers and get a form w/ your info.
the day of your wedding (before the ceremony), u give that to your officiant and then he/she and 2 witnesses sign it. your officiant will mail it in and then u'll get your license in the mail.

Actually, wierd but true, first cousins are allowed to marry in NY, so you will be ok.

Almost. You get your license the same day. After the ceremony your officiat mails in the completed license and you get your marriage certificate in the mail.

You both have to be there in order to apply for the license. You can go to any town hall. See link below.
