Marriage Certs from NYC?

Hi Girls,
I'm moving within two weeks after my wedding and I was wondering how long it took you to get back a copy of your marriage license after you were married? (if you filed with the city)
I need my marriage cert for legal reasons as I will be moving outside of the country and I can't wait a month or two to recieve the official cert.

I think it depends on how quick your officiant is...mine was in the mailbox when I came back from my honeymoon (about 8 days after the wedding).

It took around 6 weeks to get mine

Mine came in a little less than 8 weeks after. At the time I went they told me they were very backed up so it could take a while though.

just got mine back 2 weeks after my wedding
