i think you can. i'm planning on going to the one in massapequa, but i don't live there. it's just close to me.

I did tons of research on this because of FH's birth certificate and it being from a different state and TOTALLY LOOKING FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NYS says you can obtain one in any town hall as long as you have a birth certificate (original or copy with NYS raised seal) and a picture ID. They will ask you questions like, 'Where will you be living after the wedding?' But it is only because they need to know where to mail the certificate. Ours was a breeze at Town Hall in Islip. They were great and the woman who did ours was just as excited as we were!!!!

No, not at any. I live in New Hyde Park and I couldn't go to NHP town hall..I had to go to the main branch (The Town of North Hempstead). Call your local hall and they'll tell you where to go if they don't do them there. HTH
