Where do I go? We live in Town of Islip, But the ceremony is in Town of Brookhaven?
i believe either will be fine. but to be on the safe side, i would go with where you will be married - where you live has NOTHING to do with it - i live in virginia but will go to the town of north hempstead for my license b/c i will be getting married there.
It doesn't matter where you go in NYS if you are getting married in NYS. We live in Queens, got married in Queens, but went to the Town of Hempstead for our marriage license.
Doesn't matter where you go. We are having our mass in Queens and our priest recommended that we go to Hempstead.
I think the only difference is NYC-- the fee is higher there.

I just found out yesterday you can get the license anywhere in NY state if you are getting married in NY.
