Well yesterday we got so much accomplished.. We went to Town Hall and got the Marriage License( I actually got a little choked up ). What an amazing feeling. Then we did our menu-We met with a different banquet manager then the one we had booked with. She was so helpful. When she had offered us the 'extras' and we said no, she said ' I don't blame you- there's already enough food'. FI and I must have walked into the room where our reception room a dozen times. I think he is excited more than I am. I just can't wait exactly 1 month or 4 weeks from today!

Awesome!!! Where did you go for the license? If we live in Brooklyn and are getting married in Long Island (Suffolk I think) where do we go for ours? Anybody know?

Thats awesome..you ahve way more done than we do!!!! Im jealous!!! I have no clue when we can get the license, Fh works six days a week, its very hard to take off,,hes in teh middlef a big job..do you have to make an appt to go get the license, or can you just walk in?

We had gone to our town hall-but you can go to any town hall that you want. You don't need an appointment. You need to have your Birth Certificate, Drivers' License, and Social Security Card... and a Passport helps also. You don't have to fill anything out, the Town Clerk enters you into the computer. They give you the informal license right there and at your rehearsal is when you sign it. Then you send it back and in a month you get the Certificate. You are basically married 'legally' at your rehearsal..

We got married by Town Hall. The License was signed and all was well, but we had to come back for the ceremony. We were legal when we got BACK a marriage certificate from the clerk, which thankfully was that day. Took about 3 weeks to get the real one.

oh my god im getting married on jan 9th 2004 too!!! im so excited to meet someone that has my same day. im having my reception at the chateau briand. what are your colors? mine are purple silver and white. im doing a winter wonderland theme with the girls in the bridal party wearing deep purple velvet. my flower girl is wearing purple and lavender and a white trimed fur cape. i cant believe our day will be here in less then 3 weeks!!! are you excited? nervous? please get back to me
