you have to go to your town hall and get one. You need your birth cer and for of id.

We live in Bay Shore and are part of the Town of Islip, so do I go to the Islip Town Hall? What if my licenses doesnt have my new address? (we just moved and I havent gotten them yet)

I live in Bay Shore and went to Town Hall on Main Street. If your drivers license doesnt have your new address, I would bring some current mail with your name and yoru new address. But they even told me, that I didn't have to go to the Islip Town Hall, and that I could have gotten it anywhere on the island. *shrug*

i would call town hall to to confirm what you need and if im coming to the right one.
my town hall has appointments only on certain days

When I spoke to Islip Town Hall, they said the license is good for 60 days, bring your birth certificate, license $40 and have your SS#.

I got mine yesterday at Hempstead Town Hall....all I needed was my driver's license, my work ID, and $40....it was real quick and easy....
