Do you need your birth certificate for you marriage license (i think you do) My fi cant find his. He had it when we went to Mexico last year, but it was in such bad shape. Ahh!

I got a certified copy of mine from NYS. The website said it would take 4-6 weeks I think, but it came the following week. You can use that as an official copy in lieu of the original.

you can get one in the town hall of which the hospital in which you were born in...
example... bruswick hospital in amityville... Amityville town hall
