It was great cause I dont have my Birth certificate and FH was giving me a hard time. So I am glad it wasnt a requirement - that was 'An I told You So' I didnt want to hear.

Re: Marriage License
This may be a stupid questions, but do they give the license right then? I've read something about a 24 hour waiting period so I didn't know if that meant you can't use it for 24 hours or you have to come back in 24 hours to get it. Thanks so much!!

Re: Marriage License
They say no less than 60 days before and no more than 30 days before. So pretty much somewhere in that 'I have 2 months to go' area.

Re: Marriage License
Several townships will tell you to bring different documents to show them.
Oyster bay township: 2 forms of ID and birth certificate $40
Hempstead township: 2 forms of ID $40
Oyster was giving us a hard time. The ladies at Hempstead were extremelly nice on the phone and so willing to help. NO WAITING!
Valid for 60 days from day it was issued. A minimum of 24 hour wait to get married after it it issued.
