Can anyone tell me what you needed when you got your marriage license on LI? Also, where in Nassau (Merrick) is the most convenient to get the license?
Town hall in Hempstead was very easy for our license. Call info. for the number - we were in and out in 15 minutes.

We went to the office in Manhasset on Plandome Road. Don't forget the $25 and your ids!

I live in Bellmore and went to the Hempstead office, at 9am.. we were the only ones in there and i was in and out in 15 minutes.. (and they give you this great bag of freebies!!!)
I brought my drivers lic. and my birth cert.. my husband brought his drivers lic. and his work ID.. thats all i brought..neither one of us were married before so i didnt need anything else.
I also went to the hempstead one...very easy and quick and everyone is super nice!!
we brought passport and drivers license (they took even though DH's DL is expired??)
you just have to tell them your SS#...they didn't ask for proof??
and make sure you know where you were born...apparantly there are 2 St John's hospitals in Queens and DH didn't know which one...we guessed and it turned out we were right...but who would have thought
