I believe it is your birth certificate and a photo ID, like a passport or driver's license

Yeh you need your birth certificate and a photo ID. It's really quick to get it. I am not sure what time they are open till but I would go early.

I just got mine on Thursday and I we needed was one ID which was my drivers license.

you can't do it more than 60 days before your wedding date so you have time

just to clarify
Nassau/Suffolk you need ID and birth certificate
NYC you just need ID
and i am a dork i just realized the office is right on Union and Queens Blvd and is open til 4! I can go on my lunch break if i really want to!
