If I don't have my original birth Cert will a passport suffice?
I just called Islip Town Hall and they said all you need is a passport or driver's license, your place of birth, your parents names including mother's maiden name. I think it varies where you go. Town of Brookhaven said you need a birth certificate too. You can get a copy of your birth certificate if you go to the town hall in the town where you were born.
We needed two forms of ID - One form of ID needed a picture and both needed our date of birth..
The one in Long Beach only requires a drivers license OR passport.....then it's the $25 fee, with both needing to be present. Sounds pretty easy to me!! We're going tomorrow!!
Make sure you all call the place you're going to before you go. Everywhere I checked into had their own requirements. I ended up in Huntington, and needed SS cards, and photo ID.
when do you go get the marriage license?
It is good for 60 days. We got ours earlier than most probably have but, my DF had to use his personal days unless he will lose them so we did it now!
