marriage license

can anyone give me some info on getting a marriage license?

I know we both need to be present, we need our license and birth certificate.

Is there a website I can go to?

And where can we get this?

You can go to any county clerks office in NY. In Nassau it's either Hempstead, Oyster Bay or Manhasset... not sure about Suffolk though.

u can go up to 45 days before your wedding.

I went to the website and then called each town hall to find out their hours. They vary greatly. We ended up going to Oyster Bay because they were the only place open past 3pm on a weekday They have a couple of late nights every month also. I would highly recommend them! Good luck!

Here is a link for NY State. We filled out the application though and when we went to town hall they didn't take it, they did it right on the computer.

You can do it 60 days before the wedding but must do it more then 24 hours before.

were from the city, so we went to the one in Manhattan. city clerks office, its on worth street, all we had to bring was our passports , or you can bring drivers licenses.
it took a lot faster then i thought, we were only there about 20 minutes tops

you can google nystate marriage license and everything pops up
