If I live in NJ but Im getting married in Long Island does anyone know what state the license is supposed to be from? Is it the state of residence or the state you are getting married in?

I think its the state you are getting married in. when my brother got married in Vegas- he had to get a Nevada marriage license

yes....if you are getting married in NY then you have to get a NY marriage license
