How soon before your wedding does this have to be done?
Does anyone know the steps/ site/ places I should go to obtain this?
What do I need as proof.
My FH is divorced- and I think his paper work is in FL so I need some time to get things in order.
Help? Advice? Instructions?

you have to go to the town clerks office. there is one in manhasset. i would call ahead to check on what u need in regards to your FH. We just needed our birth certificate and driver's license as proof. You can get it up to 2months before i believe it expires after 60days. HTH

You have to get it at least 24 hours before the wedding and no more than 60 days before the wedding.

I went today to long beach city hall....it took us 7 min (i timed it) .....she said we have to wait 24 hrs before using it and it has to be used within 60 days

Can you get it at any town clerks office? Every town has one i'm guessing..

you can get it at any town clerk's office. need birth certificates and driver's licenses. if you are divorced, you need a CERTIFIED copy of the divorce decree. birth certificates must be original or CERTIFIED too.

We only needed one form of Identification and only used my driver's license.

We just went yesterday in Massapequa and I think we were there less than 10 min. Bring id and birth certificates.

I did a search for Town of Hempstead Marriage License (Massapequa would be Oyster Bay, I guess) and it brought me to a website that had all the info. Good Luck.
