Same here. Word of advice if you cant get there during the week though. They are open late (3:15-6:30) on the first and third Wednesday of the month and you need to make an appointment.

Re: marriage license
Can you get it anywhere or it has to be in the town you're getting married?
Some places need very specific information though! We couldn't find my birth certificate & I was born in Las Vegas... so I couldn't just 'go and get it', however I had my baptismal certificate (with the raised seal), plus my social security card and license and the town of Babylon would not accept any of those... even though on the website it says they would take baptismal certificates. I just thank my lucky stars we tried to get our marriage license on May 1st because it gave me plenty of time to contact the hospital I was born in to send away for it. I should be receiving my birth certificate early next week... what a headache that was!!

Other than your forms of ID, did you bring anything else with you as fasr as an application or anything?

Re: marriage license
We both brought *original* baptismal certificates (but original birth certificates would work too) and our drivers licenses.
It's $40 for the marriage license, and they don't take checks. They do take debit/credit (we did it) but it's a pain so just bring the cash.
They'll give you the forms to fill out when you're there. Good luck!

Yay. Scary how something that seemed simple became such a headache.
