I live in Lake Ronkonkoma. Where is the closest place to go for a marriage license? Are they open on Saturday's? Do you get the license right away..or do they mail it to you? I know we need our drivers license, birth cert, and $40 cash/check. Anything else? Please help! I wanted to go this Saturday if they are open. Thanks!

Then go on their website and that will tell you hours of operation, etc. Most are not open Saturdays but some have one evening a week open a little later. Most likely you will have to leave work a bit early. Don't wait until the last half hour that's when everyone shows up and it's high season right now.
Yes, bring at least two forms of ID.
If one of you was married before you need the divorce decree (divorce papers).
$40 cash or money order most gov't don't take personal checks.
You get it right there.
Make sure you PROOFREAD all info you give them
Bring it day of wedding and have your officiant mail it right away. It usually takes 2 weeks to get it back after the wedding.

You have to go to Islip Town Hall on MOntauk Hwy in Islip. They are not open on Saturdays, but are open until 7pm on Tuesday. They give you the license which will then be signed and witnessed after your wedding ceremony - then the officiant mails it back and you will receive it in about 2 weeks.
