Marriage License Help!! Queens?? Nassau??

FH and I will be going next week to get our license.

Where can we go to get out license the same day?

hey,... u cant get the license the same day. there is a 24hr waiting time period. u need to wait the FULL 24Hr period. UNLESS of course, you have a judicial waiver.

you receive it the same day, they give you the paper that day you dont go back for it. You just have to wait 24 hours after you receive it until you can get married but no more than 60 days.

You're welcome. Also, this info might come in handy so wanted to add that in Queens you only need a drivers license to get marriage license, but in LI, most places you need both a DL and birth certificate. I know some people can't find their birth certificates so if this is an issue then definitely go to the one in Queens

OooOOo... hmm... i figured out why. LOL, i'm signing having the civil union at the clerk's office -- maybe that's why they didn't give it to me?

i'm just having a mock one done during my ceremony at the rh -- that'll save me $500 for the officient.

what type of payment can you use in queens or LI?

Check, cash, credit card? I know they are pretty picky.

Do I need to fill out paperwork before hand? Or do I fill it out there?

I'm getting married in August...when do you suggest I shuold go and pick it up? A month before the wedding? A week before?

You get it the same day no matter where you go..there is just a waiting period before you can use it to get married...

We went in Massapequa.. there was NOONE there.. it was really quick!

Ok so I have no idea how this marraige license works.

Our hotel for our honeymood upgraded us to a honeymoon suite as long as we provide our marriage license. So I need it asap, my wedding is in less than 2 weeks and I wanted to go t his weeek.!!

Can someone tell me where to go and what to take with me, besides my FH.....and how much will it cost?
