Marriage License in Long Island???

The application for a license must be signed by both the bride and groom in the presence of Town or city clerk.

Where can I get in Long Island my FI lives in Bellmore.

What do they mean city clerk my FI wants to know and I am telling him that in the 5 boroughs. am I right or wrong?

I'm kinda lost too!!!! We live in PA and are getting married in Nassau....What the heck do I do? Where do I go????? Anyone know this????
