If FH and I go to the court house last week of June or July 5th....is that too late to get our lisence? or should we just go earlier in the month, like next week?

I would definitely go earlier. We went last week for our wedding on 7/27.

im going the last week or the first week. I have never heard of a problem with a marriage license. You get it when you are there! If there is a problem - you look at it before u leave and correct it! We can do it on FH lunch break when school lets out for me! (the last week of june)

NY state marriage license requirements:
http://www.health.state.ny.us/vital_records/married.htm

Check out the Web sites for the city, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties to get the addresses and hours for each town clerk office.

You need to get the license at least 24 hours before getting married, and the license is valid for 60 days.

I'd also suggest going earlier as well, just to make sure everything is OK. What if you forget something? We got our license the Friday before Easter (Good Friday), and a number of offices closed early or weren't open at all.

Thats fine...but I would suggest going earlier in case you run into some problems...
