May have to order a birth certificate for myself because I'm not sure where mine is but FH has his but it's the one that's black with the white typing. Do you know what I mean? Is this ok?

I know the one that you mean. It is a copy, not an official record with a raised seal. Order one for FH as well, just in case.

Just FYI, if you go to any of the 5 NYC boroughs, you ONLY need picture ID (like your license or passport, nothing else).

You should call and double-check with the office you will be getting yours at. All we needed was our passport and photo id.

Ok, spoke to town hall-we both need birth cert. w/seal on it. Where can I get our birth certs as we don't have the ones with the seal on it?
