Marriage License Question

Marriage License Question

I'm on the city clerk's website and I see that you can submit your application online before you and then finish it when you get there so it's not that long of a process. Has anyone done this? I'm looking at the office hours each borouogh office has and it's so stupid! 8:30-3:45 in Manhattan and then open everywhere else until 4pm, Monday-Fri. Umm, hello? People have work!

FH and I are thinking to just go into work late one day and get to the Queens office like 30 minutes before they open at 8:30am so we are the first ones they take. I figure if we can take care of the application up front then that's less time we are at the office.

ETA: by the way this is obviously for NYC area (not LI). I think most of you girls go to different places, so if anyone is planning on getting their marriage licenses in NYC, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx, let me know if you've done the online application.

I did the application online, then they email you a confirmation number. Bring that number to city hall with ids - sign the papers and your done! So easy! We went last Friday at 815 and was out by 845. HTH!

i didn't know you could do it online, but i'll be doing that when the time comes. The hours have always been the same and are ridiculous. I was planning on going in early and going to work afterwards
