Marriage License Question
We're trying to plan out when we're going to do what since FH's schedule is ridiculous. How long would you you think it would take if we go on like a Tuesday morning. Like 2 hours?

Oh nice! Stupid question, it doesn't matter where we get it right, like whether it's in Queens or LI?

As long as it's issued in NYS and used in NYS I don't think it matters. We got ours in Babylon.

I doesn't matter where you get it as long as it's in NYS. I have heard to steer clear of the courthouse on Queens Blvd (I think I remember you saying you live in Queens) because it can take HOURS. Our officiant recommended Hempstead and said it would be quick and painless.

FH and I went last Wednesday at 11:30 to city hall on Centre street in Manhattan (I work close by), and it took about 2.5 hours. I think it would have been way better if we got there earlier.

I went to lower Manhattan on a Friday afternoon. It took about an hour, but it was very fun watching everyone. There were a lot of people get married. I really enjoyed it.

We went to the Queens location Friday morning, it was busy but not that bad. We arrived at 9:30 and were out the door at 11:00. Parking over there is not for the faint of heart though. Luckily I went to High School nearby and knew a lot of secret spots :)

This is what we plan on doing in the next few weeks on our lunch break.
It was $35 right?
Did you fill out the application online beforehand or did you do it there?
