It was such an easy process!!! Once FH & I got it, we felt like it was official!!!

What do you need to get your license?

If you get it in NYC, you each need your driver's license and a money order for $35 made out the The City Clerk of NY.

You did not have to present a birth Certificate.... MY FH is worried because he was adopted and his parents are unable to locate the adoption papers or a birth certificate.

We got there at 830a, your going to the NYC office, right? There was really no wait. We were in and out in 45 minutes.

Thanks for the info!!! And yeah to you for getting the license!!!!! I keep having nightmares that we're at the church and I forgot to ever get the license so hearing how easy it was makes me breath easier!!!!!!!!!

You can get it no more than 60 days before your wedding, and it doesn't become vaild until 24 hours after it was issued.

you both have to be there and yes you can get it in NYC if you both live in Suffolk. It's a state license.
