Marriage Licenses
How soon before your wedding is everyone planning to get your marriage license? My mom wants me to get mine now, but I still have almost a yr before the wedding. I feel like it'll make my wedding feel less special if I get it too early...

Marriage Licenses
There are very specific rules as to when it comes to applying for the license. I think it actaully expires within 30 or 60 days from the time you get it (also you can not sign it within one day or two days from getting it). Do you plan to have a civil ceremony soon and sign the license before your wedding date (i,e, be married before your wedding)?

This is true! NYS has certain requirements and time frame of applying for a marriage license, especially if you are getting married in a church.

Re: Marriage Licenses
I didn't know any of this!! My mom wants me to be officially married now. I think it's bc she doesn't like the fact that we are living with each other before the wedding.
