Marriage lisence question:

Ok,
I know I have to bring my birth certificate and drivers lisense etc, BUT earlier this week when I went to get my passport at the post office they said I had to send in my birth certificate along with the application, and would get it back when they had finished processing it. So now I have to wait until I get that ( in 2 weeks - I rushed the order) to get my birth cert back to get the marriage lisence.

My question is: I have a photocopy of the birth cert, can I bring that or do I have to wait?

Do you mean to get your passport or to get your marriage license. For the former, they did not require any birth certificate - just the passport to be amended and the original marriage license. For the marriage license, originals were required. If you do not have the original, you can get a copy downtown at the courts for 5$ and I think can even get an order in online.
