I'm not sure what I need to bring to obtain a marriage lisence. Also, where do I get one, in the town I currently live or the town that we'll be getting married in? Finally, does it have to be within 60 days of the wedding or 30?

The marriage license are good for 60 days. If you are getting married in NY, you need to get your license in NY. I think you need a birth certificate and license. Do a search on Yahoo for marriage licenses in NY and you will get all the info you need
The requirements for identification vary by town. Call the clerk's office of the town where you plan to get a marriage license before you go in order to find out what you need to bring.
