Marriange license---UPDATE

Marriange license---UPDATE

We are getting ours today!!! YAY!!!

UPDATE:-----
We got our marriage license this morning. We live in Bensonhurst Brooklyn so we went over to Staten Island (convenience). Our priest recommended it because it is always empty. Besides, it beats getting stuck on traffic to go downtown Brooklyn ..... ; ( besides looking for traffic. The closes boro to us is Staten Island. The Staten Island office is close to the Verrazano Bridge (first exit after you get off the bridge). There is plenty of traffic and costumer service was terrific. Is not like the city where everyone is always cranky. There was no one there. It took us 14 minutes to get there and 10 minutes to get the license

I am so happy!!!!! 23 days to go...YAY!!!!

doesn't take long... get there 1st thing in the morning and you should be there about 1/2 hour...

(I had to do it 3 times bc we legally got married in may... had to get the license, then come back the next day to get married... and THEN had to go back in august to obtain a second ceremony license for my church wedding)

wasn't a big deal at all... The day we got legally married took a little longer b/c we had to wait for a few ceremonies to end...

60 days and you need to get it at least 24 hours in advance.... I believe that is NY law. I live in Boston but since I am getting married in NY I think I have to do the NY license too.
