Married Bridesmaids & Groomsmen

My FH is super close w/ a GM who is married. The GM's wife and I are friends but aren't close so we asked her to do a reading....

and actually have an entire section of our ceremony discussing how much they taught us about marriage, life and how we admire their life (house, daughter, successful, etc)...that's a surprise for them!

So we've been trying to decide on who to ask to be in our bridal party. Three of our bridesmaids/groomsmen happen to be married. I think we should also ask their respective spouses to be in the bridal party but my FH doesn't agree. We spend a lot of time with all 3 of these couples and I would like to include them all.

I would ask the respective significant others only if you were close with them as well. JMO...GOOD LUCK!

Well, for me..my MOH will be married by then (she's getting married this August) and we will not have her husband in our BP...he's a friend of ours, but not a really close friend yet. I don't think people expect it these days..but if you have the room go for it!

Most of FH's groomsmen are married but I am not having their wives in my bridal party. Even though I am close with some of them, I didn't want to sacrifce my bridesmaids that I've known for longer just to have husband and wife in the party...
Do you what you want to do but don't feel like you have to ask them bc they are married...

it is totally up to you guys and just how close each of you is with the respective spouse

If you're friends with them and are close with them then you can def include them... if you're not really that close, you don't have to be obligated to include them in your BP.

We have two married couples in our BP, but that is because I have become very close with the girls, while FH is really close with the boys. There is another guy that is in our BP who is married, but we didn't ask his wife because, although we are friends, I am not extremely close with her.
It really depends on the relationship between you.

it depends on the situation.
if BOTH are good friends to you BOTH then i would consider that. if say you one is your good friend from college and she is married but you're FH is not close to her DH, you shouldnt include him.

Dont feel bad if you are close to to their hubby's his groomsman should be people he is close with.
