did you give your photographer an extensive must take list?? or do they not need too much direction?
i want all of the typical shots, but do i need to specifically ask for them? or just throw in non-typical shots such as groom with cousins, bride with godmother, etc...??

I did but I am anal. I wanted to get specific shots so I gave them a list also they provide a checklist and I went over it with my photographer as well.

I didnt give them anything and I got everything I could want and more. If you have specific family members you want pics with give them that but dont give them specific poses or pics to recreate.

I gave them a checklist for must have shots. However, some photographers are really creative like TJ and Jay, if you let their creativity flow, their pics are really stunning. I worked with Danny for my wedding and his work was phenomenal. I loved my photos, everything looked beautiful!
