After you changed your name, were you still able to use your old check book with your maiden name?
I need to order checks, which i barely use.. and They only come in a box of 150... which will last me years.. I know ill be doing alot of check writing in the next few months so i need to do it... Just wondering if im going to have a hard time using them next year. Thanks!

i just ordered checks w/ my old name (85% of which went into the garbage) because i knew i'd be swtiching banks once we got married. you also don't need to change your name at your current bank right away. i closed my acct out about 2 months after we got married, and never changed my name.

You can still use your old checks;I changed my name at my bank but I am still using the checks from before.

i was so excited to change my last name so i just bought new checks, i get them from a website and there really cheap
i get mine from citm.com

Ask your bank if they can print you 15 checks (for free, they do it on a printer there, no waiting) to use between now and your wedding. My bank does it - they might! So then you don't have to worry about it!
