Re: Married Girls

Not married (at least for another 18 days) but I've had 3 fitting. My final will just to be to check everything 2 weeks before the wedding. So if everything is OK then 3 fittings otherwise 4

I went once to just check the gown and make sure it was OK when it came in.

Then I went 2 times, both times afterward they did work on the gown. I then went in a 3rd time, and that was when all of the work was done - all they had left to do was steam it and fix the beading, etc.

I picked it up a week after that, which was the week of the wedding.

Re: Married Girls

I had 3 - you want it to fit like a glove. Some advice:

Sit down in your dress.
Walk on flooring OTHER THAN carpet - ie, tile or hard flooring (the length might be a scant different and it may matter!)
Climb up a few stairs, if you can.

Ash- I will have at least 3.

At the second, she wants to triple check the length before she re-attaches the lace scallop on the bottom

I bet I lose a bit of weight and still need it to be taken in at 3

I wouldn't be surprised if I had 4

I agree, BUT, if the salon where you're having it altered lets people walk on the floor with their shoes from outside, PLEASE be careful doing this - my train did get dirt on it just trying to walk around to see how the dress felt.

Not married yet but I went for my first a few weeks ago and my second is next Friday. I think that if there is nothing left to do than I can take it home that day but if they need to take it in again, I will have to go back.

Thanks ladies. My dress is coming in so late that I'm freaking out that I won't be able to get all the alterations done in time. Paradise is killing me!

My dress still isn't in either and I'm the weekend after you and freaking out too. My mom and I have been fighting with Paradise like every other day.

When is yours expected to be delivered? I think they said mine was being shipped from overseas on May 15th which is ridiculous.

Re: Married Girls

No idea. I'm assuming about 3. Maybe more since I will hopefully lose weight.

I am going for fitting 1 tomorrow.

I tired my gowen on when it cmae in and it came in large even though I ordered it a size smaller since I have lost 17 lbs since I ordered it. It's going to need a lot of work even though it's a corset back. I thought the corset back meant I'd have to do few alterations, but the top is so big they really need to do a lot of work. I'll do as many fitting as necessary.
