Thinking back to your day now, is there anything that you would have changed, fixed, made better? Did something go wrong that you noticed after?

Re: Married Girls
I know many people are going to say W*T*F??? But I decided not to have the daughter/father dance because I knew I would cry non-stop so I skipped it.
Now...I'm like I should have done it! but whatever, I cant turn time around.
Eat more food and cake.

Re: Married Girls
2 things.
1. I wish I had given my photographer an 'important people to photograph' list. She never asked. I didn't expect we would run out of time before the ceremony. I'm not sure if I have pics of my sister, and we could have used more fam pics in general.
2. I don't know if I could have prevented this one: Our dj played our 1st dance song too fast even though I gave him a cd with the correct speed and he ended the song too soon. Previous to the wedding, when I told him our dance ends at a certain point in the music, he said he would just 'know' when to end the music and we didn't have to play it for him to hear when. DH and I practiced this surprise dance for over a year. We took lessons almost every week secretly. The faster music messed us up a bit and clearly we kept going after the dj turned down the music, so then he made it louder again. I know I need to get over this, I'm just frustrated.
My florist and videographer exceeded my expectations. My photographer got great shots that captured all of our details and the overall sense and mood of our wedding day. Our venue's service was pretty much flawless.

2. Been more on top and bossy of my dj. He played our 1st dance song too fast and ended it too soon. This was huge for us, we practiced this surprise dance for over a year. I must agree with the list of photos. I stressed for months the photos I did and did not want to my photographer. I didn't give him a list of people but mentioned who I wanted to cover. I have TONS of pics of my SIL and NONE of me and my son. That got me a little upset cause one pic of my SIL is more than enough for me....lol. We also wanted more pics around the hall but were confined to the photo studio at CB which I didn't like that much.

Re: Married Girls
I do think photographers should ask who is important to photograph. In my planning, I thought I was covered by asking for general time for family pictures. But when we ran out of time, a back up list would have been very helpful.

Re: Married Girls
I would have really told our DJ that our must play list means PLAY THEM. He kind of took a lot of liberties, and when DH asked him to play a particular song that he likes, the DJ said it wasn't the right time for it, then never played it.
I would definitely have eaten more as well. I ate 2 bites of dinner and nothing at CH.

My play list went out the window as well. There were many songs at the end of the night that I was like 'did you hear that one?' They did a great job, but a lot of songs we really wanted were not played.

Our dj played some of our must play songs, and then played the rest in a clump while everyone was leaving and saying goodbye. No one was on the dance floor at that point. This wasn't that big of a deal to me, but I can understand how you would feel frustrated if you had a song that was very special to you that wasn't played.

Re: Married Girls
Not much. The day was truly perfect but there are a few minor things i would have done.
1) i agree with everyone. Looking at my proofs i really wish i would have given my photog a list of must take shots and family member shots i wanted. I was very dissapointed that there is no full length pics of me and each of my BM, and there is no pic of me DH and both sets of parents together
2) i would have shopped around a little more for a DJ company. There were a few mistakes that were made by the MC that were COMPLETLY noticable to me and all of my guests. He did a decent job but there were mistakes that Should NOT have been made.
Other than those two everything was PERFECT!

Re: Married Girls
Photographer list
I really didn't think I needed to make sure that they took photos of DH's face and expressions as I walked down the aisle.....but they didn't take one of him watching. Not one 'reveal shot'
Bummer
Also, my RH packed up the extra food and our cake....then didn't tell anyone. So it was all left there. I guess I should have been more aware of that

Re: Married Girls
definitely would have eaten more. i think I had 2 bites to eat, and a glass of champagne for the entire night.
also would have asked about the rope lighting around the dais table. Would've prevented a WHOLLLLLLE lot of drama

Re: Married Girls
Things that I wish I did was: EAT! We got bagels for the morning i ate 1/2 of one because my stepdaughter was being a nasty little brat all morning (i love that girl dont get me wrong but she went out of her way to be horribly behaved on purpose you can ask anyone in my bridal party who's known her) because the attention was one me and not her so I was too stressed out to eat. Then during the night i was running all around and I think i ate 1/3 of dinner.
Things that I wish i didnt do what would have made the night better: INVITE MIL!!!! -This lady was a freaking nightmare and still is. Currently DH and I are in a huge fight because of her. Apparently today she called him and went on a 1/2 hr rant about how rude my family is......*** that woman wouldnt know a functioning family if it smacked her in the face. -I wish we didnt sacrafice my hotel room the night before so she could have a place to stay. - She let my stepdaughter roll around on the dance floor after both her father and I said to knock it off. The kid's dress was shredded within minutes!Apparently when the grandma who lets her get away with murder is there what we say doesnt matter.
My DJ as awesome as he was didnt play a lot of the songs on my must play list....and I really wanted to hear 'cascada- Everytime we touch' :(.
Another regret i have is not making sure my photog took a lot of my family photos. I gave a must take list but i was soo busy running around I didnt have a chance to ask him if he got the specific people. Havent seen my proofs yet so...who knows maybe he did.
