married girls... or anyone, really

married girls... or anyone, really

Did any of you have your BMs in more than one style of dress? I have 7 girls, and went shopping today (with one) to look for BM dresses..... I found 3... I'm thinking MOH and then 3 and 3... They would all be the same color, same designer, etc.... but I'm wondering if it would look okay...

If you have pics of a wedding with the girls in more than one style, could you please share???? I feel like I need to see it!!!

ThANKS!

I tried to do it and all my girls ended up picking out the same dress! I really love the way different dresses looks!

I didn't, except for my JR BM. She's in a very similar dress, except the older girls have a sweetheart neckline and she has a straight across neckline.

That being said, I've seen different dresses done, and I do really like how it looks. I just happened to fall in love with one particular dress.

Thank you ladies.

I played around with 'dress your wedding' on the DB website (even though my dresses are maggie and bill) just to see similar styles and I liked it there....

I don't know that I'll let them choose, though... Maybe I'll let 2 choose.... but I have 3 TALL girls and 3 my height girls..... and then my MOH....

More pics if you have them please.............

Re: married girls... or anyone, really

My MOH gave me many, many issues about her dress. She wanted a floor length dress while the rest of the BMs had tea length. Well there was issue after issue and MOH never got a dress and we were 2 months out from the wedding. I had her try on a dress I wore as a BM in my cousin's wedding. It was black, strapless, tea length (like the BM dresses) but a taffeta material instead of chiffon. At first I was not pleased, but looking back at photos, it looked just fine and made her stand our just a little bit from the rest of the girls. HTH!

I'm adding a picture. It's hard to see and it's a little blurry, but you can still see the slight difference in dresses.

ETA: I planned on letting my girls pick any black tea length chiffon dress from Jasmine. But oddly enough, they all picked the same one!

I did! My MOH has one dress...and then the other 9 girls picked between 3 other dresses. I think it's much better to let girls pick a dress that looks good on them...than to have it not look flattering and them be umcomfortable

I planned on tell ing my girls the designer, material and color and letting them pick... they were all picking the same one so we just did the same for everyone!

I just don't want to end up with 5 of the same, then MOH, and one other... MOH should be the only 'non-twin'.......

And the one that the BM picked while we were out yesterday, I don't want for EVERYONE... It looks great on her, but I am thinking of the other 5 too.... and I don't want that on everyone bc I don't love it enough.....

each girl picked out a black, knee-length dress in a chiffon material. they were all thrilled, which made me very happy.

Trying to post pics. Hopefully it works... The first two (pictured in Sage) are for BMs... The 3rd is for MOH (will be in Sage also, but when I changed the color on the internet, it didn't look right. too neon...... so I wanted the pics to look the same... The celadon is too dark!)

edited bc idk how to do it.....

I'm kind of in a rush right now but there are pics in either my review or my albums of my girls each wearing a different dress!

I'm doing it..i have 7 girls and three different styles but all the same color, length and fabric. i think its a great way to give them choices as to what they are more comfortable and to be a little non traditional as well!
