We have to have at least 125 and I am NOT paying for people who aren't there so how many people did you invite and how many said no. ALSO, how many said yes and then didn't show? THANKS!

we invited 180--105 or so showed up. so like nearly 40% said no. but that's not usually the norm

We didn't get very many, but we had a very small wedding and mostly invited people we knew would come. Probably had a 20% 'no' rate? However, then we lost a bunch of people that week. My best friend in California had an issue and couldn't come (I was upset about that one, but she really couldn't.) My boss had had surgery two weeks before and accidentally opened her incision two days before. My cousin was in a car accident, so she couldn't come (wasn't hurt, but the car was totaled), and she was driving my aunt, so she wasn't there either. And one of my good friends woke up with a virus and couldn't make it. I was beginning to think I was cursed! But then the day was wonderful so it was their loss.
If you don't make 125, then you don't. You already set that money aside, it's gone. Don't worry about it. We didn't make our minimum because of the last-minute no shows, but, who cares? So we paid for some meals, we loved the wedding, loved the venue, so it was all OK in the end.

I'm not married yet.. almost! We invited 235 and we have 181 coming. Hopefully everyone will show but there is always someone who has an issue and doesn't show up.

we invited 179 and had 137 yes's and only 1 no show I think. But i never asked the hall what the final headcount was.

Same here we invited about 180 and we had about 113 respond yes. On the day of we had a few no show and we ended up having 105-110 people.

We invited 125, my friend and her husband were the only ones to cancel about 2 weeks before (worked out cause we didn't give out headcount yet) so we wound up having 98 yes's & 27 no's and everyone that replied yes showed up.

Well I'm not married yet but most of my responses are in, and it looks like about 50% yes 50% no (just hoping to make my minimum!) I'm really hoping not to have any no-shows but I have a strange feeling people who responded yes are going to forget to come... I know that probably sounds crazy for me to worry about that!

we invited 240 and we are having 165 people coming. It is definitely more than 20%, but I don't think my ratio is the norm either.
