Married ladies???

Married ladies???

I have a question. I need to add my DH (weird) to my insurance at my job but I cant until I change my SS, which I need to get my marriage certificate in order to do this.. so my question is - did you get your marriage certificate in the mail or did you have to go and request one at the city clerks office where you first applied for it?

Just answered on Newlyweds

Ours was mailed to us within a week...id wait a few days then call the clerks office as well as your officaint to make sure it was mailed out/recieved!

if you need to get him added ASAP, and can't wait for or do the leg work for the name change stuff, you can always add him as a 'domestic partner'....then just have them change it once you get everything you need. i had to add FH to my insurance when he lost his job....rather not pay the COBRA prices! yikes!

ah I STILL haven't gotten mine!! it's supposed to come in the mail though. . most people seem to have gotten theirs pretty quickly so I don't know what's wrong with mine but yours is prob on its way!

It will come in the mail but if you got the license in the city it takes a bit longer. Ours took about a month or so.

I got mine in the mail a few days after our HM, which was about 10 days after the wedding. It should come soon. I have to go to SS office too to change my name so I can get DHs insurance..ughh such a pain in the butt.
