Married ladies...how did you control your nerves the week before, and the day of?
I'm sitting at my desk, having a mini panick attack, yet I don't really feel nervous if that makes sense,,
Then as far as the church...My heart will be jumping out of my chest...How did everyone control it?? ( no drugs )

alcohol??
no, honestly, i was getting all nervous and panicky the days before, then the morning of i was like.. RUSHING and keeping my mind off of everything. the only time i had a breakdown was when my father saw me in my wedding dress for the first time... I cried.
and i got into a fight with my mother...
but walking down the aisle, i was fine... everyone thought i'd be freaking out.
i thought i was going to be hysterically crying.
i was fine.
don't psych yourself out. just sit back, relax and try and enjoy the day.

I'm not nervous about the actual wedding, but for some reason all of these crazy problems are popping up the week before. I need some tips on how to make everything be way less psychotic.

That's how I was. By the week before the wedding all I wanted to do was be married and done with it. Then I woke up on that morning and nothing could get to me!! I did get a little nervous right before I was about to walk down the aisle but my dad calmed me down by pulling out a Metrocard and telling me we could still make a run for it. I laughed and felt soooo much better.
Don't worry, you'll be fine!

i really couldve used some xanax.
i was an uncontrollable psycho the weeks leading up. the day of was incredibly calm until my doofus DH did something stupid and then i got super nervous andhyperventilating. i calmed down for the church but i was sick the rest of the day. it was mainly because i had a serious wadrobe malfunction which screwed up everything.
so to answer your question. use xanax

ehhh u know about me - I was a raging lunatic and almost fainted just before going out into the ceremony. I drank oodles and oodles of cognac not sure how much it helped tho as I puked on my wedding nite ('babe, I just threw up...' 'thats ok, are u drunk still?' yup very romantic)
my advice from my bad experience is just to be Switzerland

I didn't... 3 days before my wedding I was in MD as my sister was giving birth to my nephew 3 weeks early and I had a complete freaking break down. Honestly it felt good to get it out though.
Then rehearsal dinner day was great and the day before the wedding. I got a pedi, massage andhad a date with my then fiance...
the wedding day I was totally fine until I got to the church and was about to walk down the aisle. All my pics of me walking down are terrible bc I was crying my eyes out. lol Once I got to the alter thogh I was fine

actually a week before I wasnt as nervous as I was few weeks before. Because a week before i already had everything on track and in the right places. Few weeks before I was worried too much that I wont get all the things done on time. But then everything falls into places :)

the weeks leading up to the wedding i lost soo much weight....then 2 days before the wedding I was so anxious and stressed out I was bloated like a whale...the day of the wedding i became a bridezilla..officially..i was yelling at my bridesmaids, my dad was making ME nervous, I was all over..until the church ceremony then i felt like thank god! my dad gave me a shot of whiskey before I entered the church in the limo! LMAO the moment has arrived time to party! and i let loose :)

the nigth before i was still re-arranging tables (cuz of stupid last minute cancellations!!) and stuffing OOT bags
but that day JP and i did a couples massage. and it was sooooooo good. definitely recommend setting up a time to go to a spa the day before, where you are FORCED to take time for yourself
as for that day, i just smiled through it. i was so happy. but anytime i did feel anxious, i thought ahead of how disappointed i would be if i missed out on just enjoying the moment (not sure if that makes any sense). but when i thought of that, i just took it one moment at a time. i recommend this in daily life too. but especially on your wedding day.
if that doesnt make sense, let me know, and i will try to word it better, if i can

i wasnt so much nervous....i was excited the week before. i made sure everything was done so my last week was nothing but relaxing. as for teh day of....i was all excitement. it was so much fun getting ready with the BM's. i saw DH before and i think that helped a lot. we took pics for 4 hours before so everything was just laughs and fun. th eonly time i got a little nervous was when i finally heard the music starting to walk the BP down the aisle but then at that point i was concentrating on my dad, making sure he held up and didnt cry so i was distracted. once you see your FH your nerves will disappear

I can't be much help, I wasn't nervous at all leading up or even the day of. We got to see each other before hand to do all of our pictures, that took about 3 hours and we had some down time before the ceremony to just hang out with the bp and family also which was good. I just got a little nervous when I had to walk down the aisle, but once I got down there I was fine
