has anyone thought about changing your email address after you change your name??
currently, my email is d(my last name)@gmail.com and i am def going to want to change my email so it has my new last name in it..butttt my new last name is far more common than my current last name and ive tried to somehow make one, but i cant find anything that i like!
is anyone else having this ridic problem? this is insane!!!!

My FH's last name starts with the same letter as mine and my email address right now is just my name with the first initial of my last name so I don't have to change anything -- I'm very lucky!
I'm probably going to change the name that comes up though when you get an email from me to reflect his last name, since I want to take his.

with yahoo you can change the way your name is displayed. So if anyone does not want to change their email you can still change your display name ( my name is currently displayed as The Future Mrs. ____)
I will change my other email only b/c I hardly use it so it really wont be a big deal.
P.S have you tried usuing your new last name in combination with your wedding date? maybe you'll have more luck ( if dsmith@gmail is taken try dsmith822@gmail?)

I'm hoping that work will let me keep my maiden name for e-mail purposes. . .since I'm probably going to use my maiden name at work still. I'll change to FH's last name legally, but I don't want to change my e-mail!!!!

I have a few email addresses, my junk mail one and my 'resume' one, which also has my old campus mail forwarding to it. I will probably create a married one/new resume one (that is, if FH doesn't have it taken himself because we'll both have the same initials now), and have all my mail from my current 'resume' email just forward to that. That sounds really confusing lol.

I will be changing mine to my new last name mine is my first and last name @gmail.com and I already went in and created an account so that it doesn't get taken because I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to add numbers on to it.

I am concerned about this actually. I have had the same e-mail since the start of aol in high school. But it has my last name. I guess i am going to have to change it eventually, but I probably won't right away. I am going to ease into the name change.

I'll change my work email, but probably not my personal for a while. My bff has been married for 5 years and her email is still her old initials, it's hard to change your email for everything.
