Married on a.....

Married on a.....

We want to officially book our RH, but we have reservations about it only because we want to do a Sunday and we heard that you can't get married in a church on a Sunday. Does anyone else know about this??? Does it depend on the church?

Oh really? You mean for the 'donation' to the church?

We are getting married on a Sunday at our church. The only restriction there was that we couldn't have a mass because there are so many massses held there on Sunday. They aren't charging us anymore money than they usually do either. As for the RH it was cheaper to get married on a Sunday. I was againest getting married on a Sunday night because everyone has work the next day but we were able to find a holiday weekend so everyone is off that Monday!

It depends on the church... Im getting married on a Sunday at 3pm and only paying the 'donation' and having a full mass. HTH

We are getting married on a Sunday also. The last mass that day ends at 2:50, so we can't start ours until 3:30, which is fine by me since our Cocktail hour doesn't start until 6:30. We have the option of a full mass, but we chose not to have a full mass...and I don't think it costs more than any other day. there is a suggested donation, which isn't really suggested, it's more like the required amount lol

im getting married on a sunday...they only have one mass avalilbe at my church which is 330..n i dont think im paying for it...its 625 all together if i remember correctly...thats like in the booklet i dont see extra prices for a sunday...so ur church should def allow you to get married on a sunday! but the only thing is we dont have a full mass so its thats ok for you then you should be fine!

I'm also getting married on a Sunday. I think with Sundays the options are just a little bit more limited in terms of times. Our church has their Sunday masses and then baptisms on the day we are getting married so we're doing a 3:30 ceremony (no mass).

you can get married on a sunday and they don't charge you anymore than if you were getting married on any other day.
the only retriction is that not all churches allow you to have a full mass on sunday, but you can always have the ceremony.
my FH went to a few churches before we found one that was exactly what we wanted and will give us the full mass!
