I am wondering if anyone has any idea how much it would cost to have a minister, pastor or justice of the peace come to my reception hall and perform the wedding. It will be a half hour long in the summer of 2005. I called 2 people and was quoted $500. Does that seem fair? Any thoughts or advice would be great!

it depends how many people you are having come perform the ceremony. we are interfaith so we are having two people. for one person, the rate could be 500-900. for two people, the rate could be 1200-1800.

When I searched for the same I heard prices from $500 to as low as $300/$250
I happened to be refered to a pastor who serves a church a coworker goes to..
He's costing me $200 even.
Lutheran Church but he's been REALLY nice in allowing me to change up the ceremony.
