Martha Clara definitely gives that farm feel ... I actually didn't care for it, partially for that reason. I felt I would have to spend some major $$$ sprucing it up to my liking - I'm such a city girl its ridiculous - one of FH's pet peeves about me, lol! I dont know what the insurance policy would cost, once we saw all the extra fees that we were unaware of, we switched gears almost instantly. If you have renters or homeowners insurance, I believe you can ask your insurance company.

lol guess not!
martha clara has a few preferred vendors.
all of their preferred vendors are very expenisive
i was quoted a 5000 site fee AND each cater I contacted from their list was at least 120 a person plus tax and gratuity
the one i know i went to a wedding last summer they did adn it was great, more of a north fork feeling it was at founders landing in southold
my friend is also using teh same cater for her's at brecknock hall in august...they are 75 a person! HUGE difference adn great food, service everything!!! ---and he has all hte catering stuff
bouy one in riverhead was price friendly as well and she basically told me all i would have to rent

a vineyard wedding is amazing as is any tented wedding but you have to get into all the rentals:
tables
chairs
unless you do MC pavillion room b/c thy have the tables and chairs in their already

table clothes
serving tables
dinner plate
salad plate
bread plate
dessert plate
knife
fork (3 per person)
spoon (2 per person)
champagne glasses
coffee cups
regular drinkin glasses (I was told to estimate 3 per guest)
etc etc etc
the list goes on and on and on!

the party rental store in watermill gave good quotes

Driftwood Farm

Hey, I know this thread is old but hoping to get some info....

Anybody know the site fee at Driftwood Farms? I emailed/ called but haven't heard back yet. It looks amazing but as I am quickly finding out - anything that perfect is extremely expensive. Old Field would be a good case in point - we love the vineyard but $10,000 just to show up is not in our budget.

We can have our wedding at Founders Landing but I am a little concerned with the logistics. Anybody know what the deal is with putting up a tent, etc. there? It says online it can only be a 30x30 tent but I have heard of a bunch of people getting married there. Maybe there wedding was a lot smaller than ours? Or, do they make exceptions on the tent rule?

Thanks!

I looked into the Salt Air Farm, its a hydrangea farm. It looked beautiful and you can get your flowers from them. Also looked into Harbes Farm and Vineyard. I really wanted a barn wedding but everything just became to expensive.
